Marta Polanska
Marta Polanska – pianist, chamber musician, teacher. She was born on June 19, 1984 in Krakow, in the family of academics. She graduated from the Academy of Music in Kraków at the Instrumental Department. She studied, among others with Maria Szylska-Kaszycka, Irena Rolanowska, prof. dr hab. Andrzej Pikul and prof. dr hab. Mirosław Herbowski. She participated in lessons and solo and chamber master classes conducted by eminent professors: Bronisława Kawalla, Andrzej Pikul, Paweł Skrzypek, Roberto Prosseda, Altenberg Trio, Tadeusz Gadzina, Daniel Stabrawa … She recorded Chopin’s works for TVP Kraków and together with her brother Marek (violinist) as the Polanski Duo performed several premieres of contemporary music works, including compositions dedicated to them as part of the International Days of Music of Krakow Composers, the Sfogato International Music and Arts Festival and the International Audio Art Festival. She has performed in Poland, Switzerland, Romania, Germany, Italy and Austria. She is a scholarship holder of the City of Krakow, laureate of the Prize of the Mayor of the City and Commune of Wieliczka, founder and president of the Sfogato Music and Arts Society, and the originator and artistic director of the festivals organized by the Society: the Sfogato International Music and Arts Festival, as well as the Piano e Forte Festival and Piano Competition, which takes place under the honorary and scientific patronage of prof. dr hab. Andrzej Pikul and prof. dr hab. Benjamin Vogel. She runs a piano class in primary and secondary music schools and her own piano studio, MartAtelier. She also graduated from Postgraduate Studies in Journalism and Media Communication at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and Law at the Faculty of Law, Administration and International Relations at the Krakow Academy of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski. She participated in numerous scientific conferences in Poland, the Czech Republic, Greece (Crete), Romania, Slovakia, Italy, France, Austria and Great Britain, among others in the XI International Congress on Musical Signification in 2010 in Krakow and Piano Congress 2022 in Warsaw.
